There are some good reasons to buy the Battlefield 1 Premium Pass right now but there are also a few good reasons to wait.
DICE is planning to release monthly Battlefield 1 updates, free maps, and brand new Battlefield 1 DLC content for all three platforms throughout the year.
The first Battlefield 1 DLC, They Shall Not Pass, is now available and DICE recently released some new details outlining the next Battlefield 1 DLC 2, In The Name of the Tsar.
With the first Battlefield 1 DLC expansion out and the next one on the way this summer, the $50 Battlefield 1 Premium Pass, the game’s Season Pass, might be tempting you.
The Battlefield 1 Premium Pass nets you all four DLC expansions which includes They Shall Not Pass, In the Name of the Tsar, Turning Tides, and Apocalypse. It also nets you some perks and bonuses.
Is the Battlefield 1 Premium Pass Worth It?

If you know you’ll want access to Battlefield 1 DLC as soon as its released for Xbox One/PS4/PC, you’ll want to think about picking up the Battlefield 1 Premium Pass right now. The Battlefield 1 Premium Pass comes with several perks but the best one might be the early access you get to the game’s downloadable content. If you’re a Premium Pass holder, you’ll get the game’s three remaining expansion packs two weeks before non-Premium Pass holders. If you want to get a bit of a head start on learning the new weapons, new classes, new modes, and new maps, the Premium Pass is the route you’ll probably want to take. The early release bonus also should apply to the free Battlefield 1 maps that fall outside of the DLC expansions. DICE has confirmed a new map called Nivelle Nights. The map is set at night and it features the French and German armies. Its also confirmed another free map called Prise de Tahure. Prise de Tahure doesn’t have a release date but Nivelle Nights will be coming to Premium Pass holders in June, possibly alongside a base Battlefield 1 update for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and Windows PC. DICE’s first free map, Giant’s Shadow, arrived a week early for Premium Pass holders so there’s a chance Premium Pass holders will get first dibs on these maps when they arrive. |
